The Macintosh Way–Use Apple Design Principles In Your Website

Apple Logo With Steve Jobs SilhouetteLifehacker just tipped me off to a free ebook download of Guy Kawasaki’s “The Macintosh Way.”  As a Mac nerd, delving into the Apple story seemed like an appropriate way to discover more about how Steve Jobs became such an institution in the tech world.  I’m half way through the two hundred page read, but already the simple idea of doing the right thing and doing things right has me reconsidering the navigational design and usefulness of my websites.  You can download this interesting bit of history here to learn more about the philosophy that made Apple a tech giant.

Issues surrounding the legality of confiscating cameras at public meetings (see a YouTube video of what happened when Ohio Congressman Steve Chabot instructed police to confiscate cameras at a public meeting here) and of photographing and videotaping police officers in public places have been in the news lately.  In response, the ACLU just released a guide to photographer’s rights under the First Amendment.  You can find the whole article on their website.

The Story Continues: Here’s a link to the story on a recent ACLU lawsuit concerning photographers’ rights in Los Angeles.

Hairband Cameraman
